FAQ
What Does “Reshod” mean? “Shod” means “Shoe”, so we’re re-shoeing your footwear. We’re also re-shoeing the walking category with a new slant on things.
Can you do that? At Reshod Walking Shoes, we do not purchase new, unused shoes for modification and resale. We only attach our midsoles to shoes purchased by individuals who plan to wear them for their personal use. Please be aware that anytime you modify an original product, you void the original manufacturer’s warranty.
How long will the shoes take to make? Each midsole is hand cobbled to the length and width of the shoe sent to us. After removing the old midsole, the new midsole is attached and a new outsole is added. We spend 4-5 hours on each pair. Production runs are done during the first and third weeks of each month. Therefore, depending on when we receive your order, they could take up to 15 days plus shipping time.
Can I get other types of midsoles put on my shoes? We only attach our patented rocker soles onto shoes. However, there are plenty of shoe repair shops that can accommodate custom requests. If you live in the Beaverton area, I recommend Busy Shoes, located on the corner of Baseline and 185th, in the Baseline Shopping Center (503-649-5858).
What’s a rocker sole? A rocker sole assists the foot in rolling forward. Our technology acts like a fulcrum and a lever to pivot the foot so that it is at a better angle for push off.
Is this just for racewalkers? This is a shoe for anyone who wants to walk fast. Pick your style of walking and enjoy!
